Sweet Potato Fries with Herbed Za’atar Dip

Elevate your super bowl party with this sophisticated Herbed Za’atar Dip. Paired with sweet, crunchy sweet potato fries, this flavor combination is sure to leave you with an empty plate and happy guests.     


Sweet Potato Fries

1/4 cup Olive Oil
Large sweet potatoes
1 tbsp
1/2 tbsp
2 tsp
1 tsp Garlic powder


Herbed Za’atar Dip

1/3 cup Sour cream
1/2 bunch Dill
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1.5 tbsp Za’atar
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Ground pepper
1 cup


Preheat oven to 450 degrees, and line a baking tray with parchment paper. Prepare your sweet potatoes by scrubbing under water and peeling the skin (I like to leave a little skin on for texture)! Slice the potatoes into 1/4 inch thick slices, and then slice them again into 1/4 inch strips. For a large sweet potato, you may need to cut horizontally first before starting to slice.

Toss your prepared sweet potatoes into a large mixing bowl, add olive oil, and seasoning. Toss until coated evenly and then transfer fries onto prepared baking tray. Make sure the fries are spread out to allow for crispiness! Bake fries at 450 for about 30 minutes, or until lightly browned.

Set the fries on a plate to cool, and it’s time for the sauce! Simply place ingredients in a food processor and blend for about 20 seconds. This sauce is so incredibly easy, but tastes like a masterpiece! The deep herbaceous flavor of the ranch dressing and the unique blend of Mediterranean spices from the za’atar come together in perfect harmony. You’ll want to make extra of this sauce and save it to use over the week for salads, grain bowls, or to dip just about anything in!

Garnish the fries and dip with reserved cilantro, serve, and enjoy!
